 The Foundation Phase
The first years of school are very aptly named "The Foundation Phase" for it is in these years that the foundations are laid upon which all future learning takes place. It is imperative that these foundations are strong, or trying to build on them in later years will be that much more difficult.
Our Foundation Phase boasts a team of 11 dedicated teachers as well as Zulu, Music and Computer specialists, who share a common passion - the well being of each and every child in their care. Their goal is to develop each child socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually to it's full potential.
We have 2 Grade R classes and 3 classes of each from Grade 1 to Grade 3. We take boys from Grade R to Grade 3, but thereafter we become an all-girls school. This is because we do not have the space for the sporting and other facilities that growing boys require.

Each teacher in the Foundation Phase is assisted by a volunteer who comes in once or twice a week to assist with listening to Reading, or to help with children who are experiencing problems with aspects of the curriculum.

In summer, swimming lessons are incorporated into the curriculum and in winter this is replaced by physical education lessons.
The intermediate phase

The curriculum offered in the intermediate phase is focused on developing the holistic needs of the child. This gives
learners an opportunity to identify their strengths and to build on these. Learners are also encouraged, in a safe and non threatening environment, to overcome their difficulties.
We emphasize good values and moral development, and promote self confidence and self worth.
The academic curriculum consists of 8 learning areas:
LLC (English, Afrikaans, Isizulu).
Mathematics.
Natural Science.
Social Science (History & Geography).
Economic Management Sciences.
Technology.
Life Orientation.
Arts & Culture.
